What We Do

The mission of the New York State Regional Technical Assistance Centers is to build upon the existing strengths of school districts to remove barriers to learning and support the whole child through technical assistance, professional development, and the creation of Communities of Practice that advance the community schools strategy.

What is a community school?

A community school is a partnership between school staff and the community to extend youth learning opportunities, engage families, improve access to health services and strengthen community connections.
