Session 1: Trust in Learning Communities – Beyond the Intangibles (10/2/24)
Participants examined the essential role of trust in family engagement and discussed concrete strategies to cultivate authentic relationships beyond surface-level interactions.

Session 2: Emotionally Based School Avoidance – What Is It and How Can We Help? (11/6/24)
With chronic absenteeism on the rise, this session focused on emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA), providing insights into the root causes of this challenge and strategies to support students and families in overcoming barriers to school attendance.

Session 3: Healing Alongside Our School Communities – A Practice in Shared Humanity (1/8/25)
This session recognized the collective trauma and challenges school communities face. It emphasized the importance of healing-centered engagement and how schools can serve as spaces of support, connection, and resilience for families.

Session 4: Community Cultural Wealth (2/5/25)
This final session explored the concept of Community Cultural Wealth, highlighting the strengths, assets, and knowledge families bring to schools. Participants discussed how to shift engagement efforts to recognize and uplift diverse family experiences.
