ETAC Community of Practice Update: Human Trafficking

Family and community engagement with a continuing focus on supporting the whole child remains at the forefront of ETAC’s mission.  This past year we conducted two live interactive training sessions with A21, an organization recognized both nationally and internationally, whose mission is to expose and eradicate human trafficking.

Valerie Ellery of A21 provided Rockland 21c Family Resource Coordinators access to a variety of resources for identifying both in-person and virtual warning signs, how to communicate with students and family members; and what steps to take to successfully advocate for, and safely support children.
