Join us for our forum on the role community schools play in addressing academic, social, and emotional needs of students and families. Register here where you will be able to participate in two sessions among the following four: Policy, Health & Wellness, Community Advocacy, and Education. Each session will feature community leaders who will discuss developing partnerships with schools and communities.

East High School will highlight its partner agencies that are seeking to expand into additional school settings in Rochester. Sessions are designed to encourage dialogue and to share best practices across the region. Our plenary sessions include a keynote address from a representative from the National Center for Community Schools and closing remarks from Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren.

Registrants will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.


SESSION TOPICS:

Policy
Driving policy decisions that provide resources that are aligned to school/community needs.

Health & Wellness 
Supporting whole-child health to students and community members in partnership with schools.

Community Advocacy
Identifying and engaging grassroots agencies within their communities.

Education 
Developing networks of supports with local agencies. We will provide examples of successful community schools in the Rochester City School District
