Reimagining Assessment: Utilizing Character Strengths as a Pathway to Success

In this presentation, we will explore how understanding the world of Positive Psychology and exploring Character Strengths using the VIA 24 Character Strengths Model can become a tool to move ourselves from needs-based assessments to asset based assessments. You will gather information on how to find out your individual character strengths and how to use those strengths within yourself and with your teams. The presentation will give guided material and detailed steps in regard to: understanding positive psychology, establishing your individual character strengths, understanding how to help your students know their character strengths, and how to use our strengths and our students’ strengths as a pathway to success.
