| This webinar is the first of a virtual six-part Professional Learning Series, taking place over the next several weeks, to increase the field’s awareness of community schools and general capacity to engage in community schools work across the country. The goals of the professional learning series are to: Communicate the U.S. Department of Education’s vision for community schools and broader whole child work; Identify and highlight examples and program designs for community school work in the country; Increase awareness and understanding of community schools work among the broader P-12 field; Identify where and how federal relief funding (including American Rescue Plan funds) has been used to support community schools; and target Full Service Community Schools grantees as well as the broader community schools field. We hope you can join us for the launch of this series to highlight the important role Full Service Community Schools, community based partnerships and academic supports play in addressing the needs of students as they not only recover from the pandemic but also thrive in our schools. |
