NYC CSTAC Updates, December 2020
Community of Practice Update:
As an expansion of our targeted work with New Community School Directors in the New York City Region, Fordham CSTAC – NYC has been working with new and developing CSDs statewide through a series of interactive webinars focused on critical issues facing community school leaders – Community of Best Practices: Building Resilience in New & Developing Community School Directors.
Over the course of each of these five interactive webinar sessions, CSDs are building their resilience through the sharing of best practices that can be replicated in their own school communities. Participants are also making connections with other statewide CSDs, developing their own network of colleagues to help them sustain and thrive in their CSD role.
The Fordham NYC CSTAC invites new and developing Community School Directors statewide to join our ongoing Community of Best Practices. Registration is open for the three remaining sessions. At the registration link, you can also view a recording of earlier sessions that focused on “Relationship Building Through Conversations” and “Addressing Attendance Challenges and Chronic Absenteeism.”
The dates for the remaining sessions are listed below:
- Wednesday, February 3, 2021; 12 PM – 1 PM: Session #3: Cultivating Student Voice
- Wednesday, March 24, 2021; 12 PM – 1 PM: Session #4: Getting Creative with Family Engagement
- Wednesday, April 21, 2021; 12 PM – 1 PM: Session #5: Self-Care and Establishing Healthy Boundaries
